Milt's Coffee Shop and Restaurant in Bakersfield, CA -- this great place is just off of freeway 99 and Olive drive on Knudsen drive...Milt's is a piece of Americana, the food and atmosphere is top notch, the service is outstanding -- and you get a feel of nostalgia with the decor of this Coffee shop that hasn't changed much in the past 50 years....the only thing that changes is it just keeps improving, lot's of new items on the menu, Denise and Mark continually update the menu with new and delicious sandwiches and entrees...next time you are in Milt's Restaurant - ask to be seated in the United States booth....there are dishes for all 5o states on the wall framing the booth....Milt's coffee shop and restaurant in Bakersfield is a treasure in California and the United States....I'd Go Back to Milt's!

The counter at Milt's Coffee shop in Bakersfield, a favorite meeting place and watering hole for business people, locals and tourists from all over Bakersfield, Kern County and California...it's the cleanest counter you will ever see....and also the best food!

If there was a A+ rating given by the Health Department, Milt's Coffee Shop would definitely get A + , as you can see in this photo they have the highest rating that is given an " A " ....to go along with the food that is reviewed as Awesome by idgoback.com ...the restaurant is also given am Awesome review in the cleanliness department....you have always heard a saying " I could eat off the floor the place was so clean"...well this phrase can be associated with Milt's Coffee Shop in Bakersfield on Knudsen Drive...this place is just off Olive Drive, right down from Hodel's and the Starbucks Coffee Shop on Olive Drive and Knudsen. Not only can your get some of the best breakfast, lunch and Dinner at a coffee shop you will ever have -- you also know you are eating at a place that you could eat off the floor or counter....it is that clean! I'd Go Back!

My hubby and I just ate at Milt's this last weekend and it totally lived up to the hype that I have been hearing. I know they have been there since the beginning of time in Bakersfield but I had never been. However, after watching the video, I knew we had to try it out. It did not disappoint, to be sure. We had the French Dip sandwich and the Halibut and Chips...sooooo good! We shared everything so that we could try it all...even the french fries were crisp and delicious...not at all too soft or mushy. We took a slice of the peanut butter pie home with us and had ourselves a mini food revival about 10pm that night. It was pretty much heaven on a plate. We will go back!

Milt's Coffee Shop is awesome, you don't find anyplace that compares to it in Southern California, I love the Biscuits and Gravy at Milt's....Milt's and 24th Street Cafe have the Best Biscuits and Gravy in Bakersfield...I will go one step further and say they have the Best Biscuits and Gravy of any Coffee Shop, Cafe or Restaurant in Los Angeles or San Diego that i've been to....all my college buddies are always looking now for a place to top Milt's Coffee Shop and 24th Street Cafe in Bakersfield, I turned them onto these great places when they visited Bakersfield....now in Los Angeles , San Diego and all of Southern California we can't find a place better than Milt's and 24th Street Cafe ...you will have to look far and wide to find better family recipes than these great Bakersfield restaurants....Also the Omelettes are the Best at Milt's and 24th Street, and don't get me started on the Sandwiches, I love the BBQ Beef Sandwich made with Milt's 45 yr old secret sauce, they serve it at both Milt's Coffee Shop and 24th Street Cafe...all my friends are totally getting in to idgoback.com and love to tell about the places that they Go Back again and again!! I'd Go Back to Milt's...I give Milt's a 5 star review!

On Veteran’s Day, 1964, Milt and Doris Huggs switched on their soon-to-be-famous neon sign for Milt’s Coffee Shop. The sign has been a beacon to hungry truck drivers and families alike traveling down Highway 99.
